Applications are invited for a PhD position at the University of Bologna, Italy. The envisaged duration is 3 years, to start in November ****. The deadline to apply is March 30.The selected student is expected to work on the phenomenology and experimental searches of dark sector extensions of the Standard Model, in particular in the NA64 experiment at CERN. The position is partly funded by the ERC AdG "DarkSHunt" with PI Silvia Pascoli, who will be the main supervisor together with NA64 experimentalists. The selected student will have plenty of occasions to interact with leading researchers in the theory and phenomenology of fundamental interactions at both university and INFN (including Ilaria Brivio, Michele Lucente, Fabio Maltoni, Xabi Marcano, Davide Pagani, Silvia Pascoli, Tiziano Peraro, Filippo Sala), see for more information and to collaborate with NA64 experimentalists in ETH Zurich. Extended periods of time at CERN are envisaged to carry out NA64 data analysis and NA64 hardware upgrade.Selection will be based on qualifications (CV including physics interests and motivation to apply, degrees and exams, description of master thesis, publications if any) and up to 3 letters of recommendations, followed by an interview for short-listed candidates which will take place online. The official announcement with more detailed info can be found at: position of interest is number 2 in the attachment "PhD Programme Table", with title "Searches of dark sectors at NA64".Applications must be submitted online at: about how to apply can be found at: about the Bologna PhD in Physics can be found at: students should apply also to Unibo International PhD College to get free accommodation:
