TXM are currently supporting a leading worldwide business in automation. We are searching for a Software Engineer to join the company, carving the way for software maintenance, alongside troubleshooting, and increasing stability across the facility.
This is an on-site role, working Monday – Friday on a day shift, completing rotational shifts, 6am – 2pm one week, then 2pm – 10pm following week. Flexibility will be needed for this role as the site continues to grow and develop.
Responsibilities:
1. Strong knowledge and understanding of the following - Linux, SQL & Oracle to an operation standard, being able to run commands and troubleshoot/bug fix.
2. Previous experience working on either Java, C++ or Python as programming languages, ideally with some experience in scripting/coding.
3. Responsibility for the sites ITIL systems.
4. Analysis of systems within the business to provide a continuous growth including a concentration on Root Cause Analysis and performance of machines.
5. Work in collaboration with the Logistics Operations Manager to ensure work is planned in mind with business goals.
6. Involvement in process and operational redesign.
Experience & requirements for the role:
7. Programming experience across any of Linux, Java, Oracle, SQL & C++.
8. Knowledge of WMS, WCS and SRC.
9. Ideally have worked within warehousing/distribution/fulfilment or within consumer goods within a fast-paced environment, however this is advantageous and not a mandatory requirement.
10. Good communication and organisational skills.
11. Ability to speak English fluently.
12. Strong data analysis skills.
13. Continuous improvement of existing processes with the ability to implement new strategies.
14. 2+ years’ experience within a software engineering role or similar.
