UMANA SPA is looking for **LAB TECHNICIAN** for important. You supervise and maintain laboratory equipment and chemicals for use by upper school science teachers in their classes. This involves organizing equipment, preparing solution, and being the lead in ordering materials and maintaining safety in the supply room. Also, you may be asked to support teachers in supervising students as well.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Preparing experiment materials for classes
- Cleaning of equipment and Maintaining equipment
- Organizing science supply room and inventory
- Assisting supervision of students and Providing technical advice
- Chemical/agar disposal
- Safety compliance and MSDS
- Managing materials ordering
- Invigilating exams / Substituting classes
**ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES**:
- Able to prepare chemical solutions
- Good mathematical skills for calculating dilutions/concentrations
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
- Understanding of lab safety standards and norms
- Able to clean equipment and dispose/dilute chemicals safely and correctly
- Bilingual - Italian and English Comfortable working with students
- Capable of troubleshooting equipment malfunctions or addressing unexpected issues during experiment
- A well-organized team player: able to adjust to changing schedules, experiment requirements, and unexpected needs in a dynamic school lab environment.
**DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES**:
- Familiarity with GoogleSuite (Gmail, Sheets, and Docs)
- Experience working in a school environment
- Experience working in a lab environment
Full-time employment contract until June 30, 2025.
