ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Designer to support our partner in the automation sector based in Como. What you will do: Perform and lead CAD design, engineering computers simulations, and mechanical engineering related lab experiments in support of design validation and reliability goals Bring a strong technical expertise during design reviews and problem-solving activities Deploy state of the art mechanical engineering development practices Follow and drive improvement of best practices and tools to improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and mechanical subsystem quality Use outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to execute efficient interfaces with third party engineering partners and suppliers What you need to have: Bachelor or Masters’ degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 5+ years of experience in various mechanical engineering research and development roles within an industrial environment is required Experience designing industrial products from concept through production is required Experience in a mechanical workshop is required Very good knowledge of materials requirements is required Knowledge of marking and coding equipment is a plus, but not required Proven experience in CAD design (Creo Direct/Windchill is a plus) Thermal/ flow/pneumatics/electro-mechanical testing is a plus as well as FEA/CFD analysis Experience working with SAP, nice to have Excellent Italian and English language skills are a must What We Offer: Permanent contract with meal vouchers and allowances; Training tools to develop both technical and soft skills; Ongoing support from the HR team to ensure your professional development; Opportunities for growth in a dynamic and stimulating environment.
