The researcher will be involved in the characterization of new alloys and composites, development of a materials database and feasibility studies on the decoration and finishing of alloys. /ph3Main responsibilities /h3ulliFeasibility studies on new alloys: quantitative characterization of mechanical properties, troubleshooting processing challenges, integration with production workflows /liliMaterial database development: supporting the database framework development, gathering and compiling data, development of reporting tools /liliSupporting feasibility studies on the development of new finishing strategies for alloys /liliDelivery of project milestones to internal and external stakeholders /liliEnsure technical consistency for new products proposals /li /ulh3Main Requirements /h3ulliEducational Background in bMaterials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering /b /lilib0-1 /b years of work experience. /liliBasic know-how of metallurgy and characterization techniques for metallic materials (optical microscopy, micro-indenter, universal testing machine) /liliPrevious experience in the development of automation on industrial machines is considered as a plus /liliStrong problem solving skills /liliSolid experience with Microsoft Office Suite /liliComfortable to work within an industrial/manufacturing environment /liliYou are fluent in English and Italian /li /ulh3What’s in it for you /h3pIn EssilorLuxottica, you are not defined just by your job title.
