Overview Vendor Manager We are looking for a Vendor Manager. As part of the RS PRO sourcing Team, you will play a pivotal role in forging and development of relationships with key Suppliers and sourcing partners alike, ensuring high product quality, ethical standards and service levels which meets our customers expectation. To develop and manage key sourcing partners in the relevant country to create expertise across different categories. Location : Milan Sesto San Giovanni - Hybrid Responsibilities Build a sourcing strategy for RS PRO products in order to mitigate supplier risk, create category based supplier sourcing plans, maintain ethical standards and selecting strategic partners to support with technical design and innovation. Engage with internal stakeholders such as engineering and operations to ensure quality and compliance of products. Lead supplier negotiation to create a “win-win” scenario and build long term partnerships. Responsible for managing risk assessment of suppliers in terms of financial, quality and compliance. Responsible for forecasting inflationary movement of commodity and supply chain costs. Improve overall margin of the business and work across countries and functions to achieve this. Manage key stakeholder by using data analytics and strong communication skills. Identify European suppliers with the competency and willingness to be developed into strategic supply partners. What we’re looking for / Qualifications Bachelor / Master degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or other related disciplines. Experience in sourcing and supplier management, consulting or buying industrial products across EMEA. Strong commercial acumen and experience in supplier management. Experience in managing quality and brand equity with sourcing partners. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in working in a matrix organisation and influencing key stakeholders. Capability to create clear strategic plan with focused initiatives. Strong communication style with the skillset to simplify complex topics into easy and clear communication packs. Capability to create processes to manage end to end customer volume purchasing demands with suppliers. Leadership capability to take the team forwards and alignment to our ‘Amazing Leaders’ profile. Languages: Excellent in English and fluent in one or more languages including Italian, German, French and Spanish (preferable).
