And that's where you come in.**Job Description:****Accountabilities**Development of vehiche electrical system* Development of electrical documentation for production (topographic diagrams, wiring tables, harness drawings etc.)* Design of electrical subassemblies (electrical cubicle in the compartment, electrical boxes outside the car, etc.)* Definition of electro/mechanical components and electrical components for wiring* Preparation of system requirements specification and component technical specification* Preparation of the electrical requirements specifications of the vehicle* Support during the on-board integration test for electrical functions* Design review with Clients and Suppliers**Required Skills/ Knowledge*** Experience (if any) in the railway industry with the role of Systems Electrical Engineer and/or Designer focused on Electrical systems.* Knowledge of the main regulations relating to electrical systems in the railway business, for design and testing.* Knowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)* Knowledge of mechanical design software (Autocad, Creo, etc.)* Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, with the attitude to contribute with constructive and practical ideas.* Readiness to work effectively in a collaborative, fast paced, multitasking international environment.* Ability to work autonomously in teams and for projects is required.* Availability for short-term national and international business trip.**Desired Skills/ Knowledge*** Good knowledge of electrical schematics/topics* Ability to manage and plan the assigned tasks independently and team-working.* Ability to analyze business requirements, problem-solving attitude and business process analysis.* Ability to face the different internal functions (internal customer) and external (suppliers, customers, partners).* Recommended IBM DOORS requirements management tool.* Recommended knowledge of electrical design software (preferred E3 Zuken).* Recommended knowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations.* Versatile in learning and strong desire to remain up to date with changes in technology and best industry practices.* Strong business acumen & technical skills.* Good communication and interpersonal skills.* Attitude to work in an international and multi-cultural reality.**Education / Qualifications**Degree in Electric or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background.**Languages** English language knowledge on at least international C1 level**.****At Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.** **We welcome and value differences in background, age, gender, sexuality, family status, disability, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, and world view.** **It is our commitment to create an inclusive environment - we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.****We would be delighted if you would be one of our followers at**Our people love technology – and they love making a difference.
