YOUR MISSION
As a key member of the
Compliance & Internal Control
team, you'll translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, scalable solutions that enable Alma to operate with confidence, and will be a main contact for local regulators.
You'll be the trusted advisor for our operational teams, the strategic partner for new product launches, and the bridge between Alma and our regulatory supervisors (ACPR, BoI..)
What You'll Be Doing
Regulatory Advisory & Guidance
Advise and translate regulatory requirements to Alma's operational teams, particularly Sales, Financial Security, Operations, and Product
Act as the main point of contact for regulatory matters, providing clear guidance on compliance obligations
Serve as a trusted compliance advisor ensuring alignment between commercial goals and regulatory adherence
Compliance Framework & Risk Management
Centralize and maintain Alma's regulatory compliance procedures, ensuring they remain current and fit-for-purpose
Proactively identify compliance risks through cross-functional projects including:
New product and feature reviews
Partnership assessments and due diligence
Outsourcing approvals
Intermediary relationships in banking and payment services
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders
Regulatory Intelligence & Reporting
Own the regulatory watch function, staying ahead of emerging regulations across our European markets
Monitor regulatory developments (PSD2, PSD3, AMLD, DORA, etc.) and assess their impact on Alma's business
Submit and develop scalable regulatory reporting processes in collaboration with Finance and Financing teams
Participate in preparing and submitting regulatory reports to ACPR and other relevant authorities
European Compliance
Support Alma's expansion by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in neighboring jurisdictions (Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain)
Collaborate with local teams and external advisors to navigate multi-jurisdictional compliance challenges
You will collaborate closely with the Financial Security, Product, Sales and Legal teams.
You will report to the Head of Compliance & Internal Control in charge of the Regulatory, Financial Security and Internal Control teams.
ABOUT YOU
6-10 years of experience
in regulatory compliance within the banking, payments, or fintech sector
Deep technical expertise
in EU (especially French and Italian) banking regulatory frameworks:
Payment Services Directive (PSD2/PSD3)
Anti-Money Laundering Directives (AMLD5/AMLD6)
Consumer credit regulations (DCC2)
Direct exchange with regulatory authorities
(incl. ACPR, Bank of Italy, ECB, or equivalent EU supervisors)
Hands-on experience
with regulatory reporting, compliance programs, and policy development
International and multicultural working environment
experience
Fluency in Italian and English
(written and spoken),
French
is a plus.
