Experteer Overview

In this role you lead the Advanced Purchasing & Program Management team for Dana Light Vehicle's European plants, shaping the commodity strategy and driving savings and supplier performance. You bridge strategic and tactical work, align cross-functional teams, and steer long- and short-term objectives including cost, risk, and cash flow. You manage supplier relationships, negotiate complex terms, and ensure on-time, on-budget program milestones. You influence global sourcing and cost models.

• Act as the go-to person to steer the commodity toward program milestones, cost targets, and budget adherence
• Map team skills and define SMART objectives for members and monitor progress
• Develop a long-term supplier mapping vision considering TCO and risk management
• Leverage global purchasing offices to drive value
• Perform part cost estimation for new quotations to achieve Value for Money and maintain cost models
• Manage and negotiate supply agreements to improve cost, delivery, quality, lead times, payments, technology, and risk
• Define supplier selection criteria with cross-functional buy-in and select qualified suppliers
• Present regional sourcing strategy to upper management with data-driven justification
• Oversee multiple projects, anticipate roadblocks, and ensure timely part launches
• Hold regular performance reviews with stakeholders and business reviews with strategic suppliers
• Govern savings trackers to meet targets
• Propose process improvements to drive efficiency and accountability

Responsabilità

• Three-year degree in Business (Supply Chain Management or Purchasing preferred) or four-year degree in Engineering
• Professional Supply chain certification preferred
• At least 10 years of experience in direct material procurement
• Strong team player with cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent verbal and written communication
