Role OverviewThe Strategy & Market Intelligence Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction by providing high‐quality insights, competitive analysis, and market assessments. Operating at the intersection of strategy, commercial planning, and consumer understanding, this role supports senior leadership in making data‐driven decisions that accelerate growth in a fast‐moving consumer goods environment.The ideal candidate combines analytical rigor with business intuition and thrives in a dynamic, fast‐paced setting.The role will report to the Head of Strategy and Market Intelligence.Key Responsibilities
Conduct deep analyses of market trends, category dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapesSupport strategic planning, long‐term growth initiatives, and business case developmentIdentify new market and growth opportunities, including white spaces and country/segment expansionBuild and manage a structured market intelligence and competitive monitoring frameworkTrack competitor activity, SKU performance, and early indicators of risks and opportunitiesManage external data sources and translate complex data into actionable insightsDevelop dashboards and recurring reports to track performance, market share, and KPIsPartner with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Innovation, and Supply Chain on strategic initiativesContribute market and consumer insights to the innovation pipelinePrepare clear, data‐driven insights and strategic presentations for senior management and stakeholders
Your Profile
Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field2 – 3 years in top‐tier strategic consulting (Consultant level) with strong FMCG exposure, or 5 – 6 years in the strategy, market intelligence, or category management team of a leading FMCG companyFamiliarity with syndicated data sources (Retail Scan Data, Consumer Panel Data, Brand funnel data, etc.)Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex datasetsExcellent communication and presentation skills; able to turn data into clear insightsProficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI highly appreciatedStrategic thinker with solid business acumen and a proactive, problem‐solving approachAble to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environmentCurious, resourceful, and comfortable challenging assumptionsCollaborative team playerExcellent command of English; additional German and/or Italian skills are highly beneficial
