Test Technician Test Technician analyses test requirements and executes tests following standards and regulations for IV solution products; typical tests may include system testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing, technical architecture testing, security/safety testing. Test technician documents and tracks software bugs and hardware defects identified through testing and generally works with developers and support engineers providing input to improve products and processes. Responsibilities: - Review product requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. - Constantly update working knowledge of several IV Solutions products - Analyse test requirements and execute tests following standards and regulations for IV Solution products and using a combination of manual and automated testing techniques. - Produce and record accurate and reliable data and results in specified forms with accuracy and responsibility including software bugs and hardware defects - Collaborate with hardware engineers and software developers to test of new hardware/software components and to resolve any issues that arise in the testing process - Participate in the ongoing development of Laboratory Quality Systems - Help to define, improve and implement quality assurance best practices - Follow methodologies in carrying routine tasks - Clean, maintain and calibrate equipment utilizing approved testing procedures - Ensure that all health/safety guidelines are followed strictly at all - Maintain a clean and orderly environment - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of process and product - Train others within the immediate team on testing techniques and automation - Stay update with new testing tools and test strategies - Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control Required Knowledge and Skills: - Accuracy and close attention to detail - Strong analytical judgement - Clear and effective communication skills - Working knowledge of personal computers and peripheral devices Basic Qualifications: - High school diploma - Good knowledge of English language (written and spoken) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with performance and/or security testing - Knowledge of different quality systems and standards and techniques, including ISO, Six Sigma, IEC and IEEE is a plus Preferred Knowledge and Skills: - Ability to use measuring techniques and tools (rules, tapes, calipers, gages) correctly. - Ability to read mechanical drawings - Knowledge of basic electricity (electrical conductors and wiring techniques, soldering technique, grounding and safety). - Use of multimeter and concepts of amperage, voltage, resistance, direct and alternating current. - Ability to read wiring schematics and basic Knowledge of electrical components (fuse, relays, diodes, sensors, power supplies) Work Conditions: Office Environment - Disclaimer: Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time._ Omnicell is an Affirmative Action /Equal Opportunity Employer Males/Females/Disabled/Protected Veteran/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
