Represents technically the project, vis-à-vis the customer. Specifies and validates, with his team, the Transport System Solution, and controls the technical consistency through a strong interfaces Management ORGANIZATION Reports directly to: - Project manager or turnkey bid engineering manager_ Direct reports: - System engineering manager, CW interface manager_ Network & Links Internal (80%) - Project core team - Subsystems engineering managers External (20%) - Customer, Engineer, third parties, other contracts - Partners, Subcontractors MAIN RESPONSABILITIES - In tender phase, build the optimized solution (technical, performances, cost) with the support of the subsystem’s technical managers and quote the turnkey engineering workpackage. - Manage the technical relationship with the Consortium and the client - Choose the hypotheses for performance calculations and validate the results - Validate the system Specifications and the interfaces specifications produced by his team - Control the System configuration and requirement management in accordance with the design milestones of the project - Manage Design Changes related to the transport system definition throughout the project lifecycle - Follow the Preliminary and Final Designs progress - In relationship with the Project Test & Commissioning Manager, prepare the VTA activities - Lead, develop and motivate the Engineering Project / Tender team - Implement the Methods and Engineering tools - Ensure the carry-over from previous projects and current R&Ds - Support the Project Manager MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements_Mandatory: - Master University Degree in Engineering Experience Mandatory: - Broad Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment and systems - At least 5 years of experience in Railway system engineering in an international project - Expert in System Engineering Competencies & Skills - System Engineering methodology (MBSE) - Safety - Fluent in English, and fluent in contract language - Wide knowledge of the rail environment appreciated - Good co-ordination and communication Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow’s mobility.
