What will you take care of?
The System Engineer is responsible for development of state of the art cross domain products, integrating HW electronics, embedded SW and Cloud services. The responsibility includes system integration activities from initial concept requirement elicitation to development for series release. The focus is on design of next generation software architecture for future vehicles (motorbike, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and off-road applications).
The resource will support the team in the following activities:
1. Develop and optimize algorithms based on ML and neural networks
2. Test case and methods definition, implementation, and execution to ensure requirements fulfillment
3. Testing feasibility and functional acceptance of the delivered SW
4. Embedded SW testing at HiL and on target system
5. Handling and tracking of SW changes. Perform change impact analysis of the requested change. Clarification with function development team and calibration team of the functional impact on the system.
6. Understand and debug hardware and software during design, launch, and deployment.
7. Develop of software tooling to support internal activities
Qualifications
Education: Master Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent
Language skills: Good English language skills required; in best case, basic knowledge of German language
Experience and know-how: Good system overview and understanding of the interaction of HW and SW in connection with powertrains. Background knowledge of Automotive-SPICE is beneficial. Experience with Python programming and with CAN.
Software: MS Office, Doors, Matlab, Notepad++, Siemens Polarion, Simulink
Operative Systems: Windows 98/XP/7/8/10, Android, Linux, macOS
Programming languages: C, C++
