The selected candidate will join the Finance team as Senior Accounts Payable & Expenses Accountant, with responsibility for Accounts Payable and Expense Management for the Italian entity.While the role has a local Italian scope, it requires regular interaction with EMEA and US Headquarters, ensuring alignment with group policies, procedures and reporting standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end‑to‑end Accounts Payable process for the Italian entity - Receive, review and post supplier invoices in the ERP system - Manage vendor relationships, resolving payment discrepancies and invoice disputes - Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations - Maintain and update vendor master data - Review and approve employee expense reports, including travel expenses, in line with company policies and local tax regulations - Ensure correct classification, authorisation and posting of expenses - Post monthly accruals related to costs and suppliers - Reconcile Accounts Payable and related balance sheet accounts - Support internal and external audits - Support accounting governance activities, including account reconciliations, intercompany processes and VAT-related matters - Act as local Finance point of contact for AP topics, liaising with HQ Finance teams
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting roles with a strong focus on Accounts Payable and Expenses - Solid experience gained in structured multinational environments - Strong organisational and prioritisation skills - High level of autonomy and sense of ownership - Accuracy, attention to detail and strong compliance mindset - Ability to work under tight deadlines - Fluent English, used to interact with international stakeholders - Advanced knowledge of Excel - ERP experience (SAP, Oracle or similar)
