Overview Join to apply for the RF & Avionics Test System Engineer role at TXT GROUP. TXT e-Tech Srl, a TXT Group company, is looking for an avionics test systems engineer to join a team dedicated to the design, development and management of test benches for avionics equipment, with a particular focus on radar and RF processing and reception units. The successful candidate will contribute to requirements definition, software development and electronic design, as well as HW/SW integration of automatic test systems (ATE/STTE), supporting the testing, validation and maintenance of test benches throughout the life cycle of avionics products. Responsibilities Analysis of functional requirements for avionics equipment and definition of related test requirements. Software design and development for testing engineering on NI TestStand, LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI and C/C++ (Visual Studio) platforms. Implementation of test requirements on target ATE/STTE benches. Integration of HW/SW components and RF instrumentation on automatic test stations. Set-up, testing and maintenance of test benches, including HW and SW life cycle. Drafting of technical project documentation and test reports in accordance with company processes and aeronautical requirements. Support for validation, troubleshooting and analysis of test results in the laboratory. Indispensable technical skills Aptitude and interest in pursuing a career in the field of Automatic Test Systems. Excellent basic technical knowledge of classic electrical measurements and related basic instrumentation (DMM, Frequency Counter, RMS Voltmeters, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Arbitrary Generators, DC, AC and Three-Phase Power Supplies, Active Loads, etc.). Good knowledge and ability to use the main radio frequency measurement instruments and those specific to Automatic Test Systems for RF units (Network Analysers, Power Meters, Spectrum Analysers, RF Signal Generators, RF Counters, Detector Systems and Peak Power Meters). Good knowledge of electrical and RF measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, generators, spectrum analysers, network analysers, power meters, etc.). Aptitude for developing/integrating test SW in C/C++, C#, NI TestStand, LabVIEW, or LabWindows/CVI. Nice to have Experience in setting up and maintaining Automatic Test Equipment (ATE/STTE) for avionics systems. Knowledge of Verification & Validation processes in the avionics and regulatory fields. Familiarity with Rational DOORS for requirements analysis and management. Technical knowledge of main communication standards (RS232/RS422, Ethernet TCP/IP - UDP - FTP - TFTP protocols, STANAG3838, STANAG3910). Education Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or similar, preferably with knowledge of RF.
