The Equity Capital Markets (ECM) division provides a wide range of equity products ( including private placements, IPOs, right issues, equity-linked instruments and structured equity solutions) to private and listed companies, as well as financial sponsors and entrepreneurs. As part of the broader Advisory & Financing Solutions business, ECM collaborates closely with several other departments of the bank, such as sector advisory and corporate coverage teams, with visibility on the full suite of investment banking solutions we offer to our Clients. The ECM team based in Milan oversees all the business opportunities across Italy, Central and Eastern Europe as well as in international markets, providing exposure to different geographies, each with its specific market dynamics and varying Clients’ needs.
* Execution of ECM transactions: support the activities related to the project workstreams on a daily basis, including performing ad-hoc analyses and preparing client materials, as well as drafting internal documentation such as committee memos and deal-related communication
* Business development: support the tracking and assessment of ECM opportunities and contribute to the preparation of internal presentations
* Excellent academic background and strong quantitative and analytical skills. Finance, Economics or Accounting majors preferred with demonstrated interest in corporate finance and capital markets
* Fluency in written and spoken Italian and English required. Fluency in German or any other European language will be considered a plus
* Solid IT skills and competent user of the MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or Refinitiv will be considered a plus
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects concurrently
* Strong desire to learn and take on increasing levels of responsibility
* A comprehensive insight into the world of equity instruments, offering the chance to build knowledge across various ECM tools first-hand with a steep learning curve
* Ability to develop a deep understanding of market fundamentals and be able to make market-informed contributions on a broad array of equity capital markets strategies
* Work on live transactions and interact with clients and professionals from across the bank as you build your network and experience
