PRODUCTION SHIFT LEADER
Reporting directly to the Production Area Manager, the role involves ensuring the execution of shift/line production plans, delivering products of defined quality at optimal costs by organizing team members and available assets. The role also includes ensuring health and safety compliance according to law and HSE policies.
Main responsibilities:
1. Organize work allocation on the line to ensure optimal production plan execution.
2. Coordinate regular preventive maintenance of lines, systems, and machines during the shift.
3. Ensure food safety requirements for finished goods.
4. Comply with health and safety regulations (Legislative Decree no. 81/10) and HSE policies, acting as the person in charge (preposto).
5. Organize problem-solving sessions with team members and stakeholders.
6. Ensure production plan execution and performance to schedule.
7. Achieve shift/team KPIs such as SLE, yields, GMP, etc.
8. Prepare shift reports timely and accurately.
9. Develop team members' skills for effective performance.
10. Define clear responsibilities and objectives for team members.
11. Recognize good performance and address issues promptly.
12. Support continuous process improvements and suggest updates to tools for operator suggestions.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Management Engineering.
2. Minimum 2 years of relevant production experience.
3. Experience in team management.
4. Understanding of food and beverage technology.
5. Knowledge of maintenance procedures.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
7. Familiarity with policies, procedures, and systems in manufacturing.
8. Problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to set performance standards.
10. Leadership qualities and a positive attitude.
11. Teamwork mindset.
12. Willingness to experiment with new ideas.
13. Proficiency in English language.
