We are hiring a Civil / Façade Engineer in Milan, Italy.
Fly Service Engineering S.r.l. is a Milan-based company specializing in the design and installation of access and maintenance systems using rope access techniques.
We collaborate with leading architectural firms in Italy and internationally, delivering tailored solutions for complex and technically demanding projects.
As part of our growth, we are looking for a Civil Engineer or Façade Engineer who is comfortable working across design and execution, with a strong understanding of building systems, structural behavior, and real-world constructability.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The selected candidate will be involved in the development of technical solutions for façade access and maintenance systems, ensuring integration with both architectural and structural design. The role requires active participation from concept development through to detailed design and site execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop technical solutions for access and maintenance systems within civil and structural contexts.
Create and manage advanced 3D models using Rhino, particularly for complex geometries.
Produce detailed 2D drawings and construction documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
Carry out structural checks and calculations, including load paths, fixings, and anchoring systems.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure technically sound and buildable solutions.
Provide technical support during installation, testing, and on-site activities.
Act as a technical interface between design teams, site teams, clients, and stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in structural design, façade engineering, or building systems.
Strong proficiency in Rhino is essential.
Experience with Revit for 2D detailing and documentation.
Solid command of AutoCAD 2D.
Good understanding of structural principles, materials, and construction methods.
Ability to read and coordinate architectural and structural drawings.
Familiarity with structural analysis tools is an advantage.
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements.
Fluent English is required.
Availability for occasional site visits, including international travel.
