The Auditor is responsible for assisting in the execution of audit procedures and examining financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations. The auditor will work under the supervision of experienced auditors and will gain exposure to a range of clients and industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in audit planning by participating in planning meetings, conducting preliminary risk assessments, and identifying areas of concern.
- Conduct audit testing by performing audit tests and procedures on various financial transactions and documents, examining and analyzing accounting records and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare detailed, organized work papers that clearly document audit findings and ensure documentation supports audit conclusions and complies with auditing standards.
- Utilize accounting software and other tools to analyze financial data, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Assist in preparing audit reports summarizing findings and make recommendations for improvements, and communicate findings with senior auditors.
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients, collecting necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- MAcc or 150 hour requirement preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel as required for audit engagements.

Preferred Qualifications
- Internship experience in accounting or audit.
- Familiarity with accounting software and data analysis tools.
- Masters or better in Accounting.
- Georgia CPA License.
