The Role: Group Financial Controller Location: Milan, Italy The Salary: €70,000- €90,000 bonus Reference: EG1002 Finatal is partnered with a high-growth private equity-backed technology company headquartered in Milan. Fresh off a €50M Series B and scaling rapidly across international markets, the business is now entering a pivotal phase of financial transformation. With growth comes complexity and they’re investing heavily in strengthening their reporting, controls, and operational scalability to support the next stage of value creation. We’re hiring a hands-on Group FC to lead the accounting function globally ensuring strong financial discipline, process optimisation, and robust reporting frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Accounting Leadership: Own full-cycle accounting processes across the Italian entity and contribute to group-level financial control. Financial Reporting: Lead timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings; ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and audit requirements. ERP & Process Transformation: Drive ongoing ERP redesign and process improvements to enhance data quality, efficiency, and scalability. Team Management: Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring strong performance, controls, and professional growth. Governance: Ensure compliance with all financial policies, internal controls, and external regulatory requirements. External Interface: Manage relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and financial partners. Key Requirements: Proven experience as in Accounting, Controlling, or equivalent role within an international and fast-scaling environment. Experience leading ERP implementations or redesigns (NetSuite ; SAP or other ERP experience also relevant). Fluent English required; Italian or Spanish is highly desirable.
