Job Position Description Action Optical Designer LOCATION: Parabiago (MI) DUTIES This department is responsible for: - Optical system requirements specification, design, engineering and verification. - Straylight Analysis of Complex Optical Systems. - Interferometry - Spectro-radiometric imaging instruments operating in the visible and infrared. As part of its mandate, the Department operates an Optics Laboratory for optical component and system verification. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: - Master Degree in Optical Engineering or Physics or equivalent qualification by experience. - Working experience: 0-5 years - High flexibility and team-working skills - Good spoken and written English level - Optical Design Software Knowledge: OpticStudio, CodeV, Light Tools. REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & SKILLS: - Proactive attitude to solving problems and an interest for innovative technologies. - Good knowledge of optical design (both reflective and diffractive optics). - Usage of laboratory instrumentation for testing. ADDITIONAL ASSETS: - Previous experience in aerospace/space projects (industrial and/or academic) - Experience in optical laboratories of testing of various types of optical components and instrumentation. - Experience in precision optical measurements at system, sub-assembly and component level. - Experience with Software Listed Above - Knowledge of the aerospace/space standards ECSS, MIL) - Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink
