Service Engineer & Project Coordinator
We are looking for a Service Engineer & Project Coordinator to join our Service Execution division in Genoa.
Thanks to strong technical expertise and professional versatility, this role will combine hands‑on engineering skills with solid project management capabilities. This hybrid profile will ensure the successful execution of service projects, effective coordination of resources, and direct interaction with customers and internal teams.

Your Challenge
The role oversees the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical management of Operational Technology (OT) systems — including PLCs, DCSs, SCADA platforms, and industrial networks — both onsite and at customer facilities along with the ability to manage projects and customer relationships effectively.
Main Activities
* Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of OT systems (PLCs, DCSs, SCADA, HMIs, field devices, and industrial networks)
* Manage small-to-medium service projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and reporting
* Ensure proper coordination of resources, timelines, and technical documentation in collaboration with internal and customer teams
* Execute software configuration, updates, and diagnostics for automation systems
* Support remote and onsite assistance activities to guarantee system uptime and performance
* Collaborate with sales and project management teams to identify service opportunities and technical improvements
In the medium to long term
* Become the technical and project reference point for OT service activities within the Service Execution division
* Lead service or modernization projects, ensuring technical quality, budget control, and customer satisfaction
* Contribute to digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives related to Siemens automation systems
Qualifications
* Proven experience in technical service, commissioning, or project management within the OT or industrial automation domain
* Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
* Strong knowledge of Siemens or equivalent automation platforms (SIMATIC S7, PCS 7, TIA Portal, WinCC, DCS systems)
* Experience in planning, coordinating, and managing service or installation projects
* Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
* Basic understanding of IT/OT integration and industrial networking
* Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken
* Availability to travel frequently across Italy, and occasionally abroad
* Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong customer orientation
