Position Overview
Position based in Monza and reporting to the Procurement Lead, you will be a key member of the Finance, IT and Business Operations team. You will be jointly accountable for the Commercial Finance Operations transformation journey, fostering a collaborative, customer‑centric environment and driving the adoption of agile ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop a strong understanding of the suppliers’ market, trends, and innovations in the assigned categories.
* Drive and ensure an effective and proactive scouting process of strategic partners in the reference market.
* Co‑create sourcing strategies with internal stakeholders, gathering business needs and ensuring adherence to the procurement policy.
* Implement and execute robust, agile sourcing processes, contributing to the effectiveness of the overall strategy.
* Plan and implement source‑to‑pay activities in accordance with the defined strategy, leading the sourcing process through tools such as RFI, RFP, RFQ and eSourcing tools.
* Analyze commercial suppliers’ proposals and lead the negotiation process based on the established strategy.
* Oversee and ensure an effective and timely process for supplier contract set‑up, coordinating with other functions and complying with procurement policy and legal framework.
* Manage supplier relationships, aiming to increase efficiency, improve commercial terms, and implement new approaches and technologies.
* Contribute to supplier performance review, due diligence and risk assessment, translating insights into actionable plans.
* Collaborate across functional areas to deliver better outcomes and overcome barriers.
* Participate in international procurement working groups, strengthening networking to deliver better outcomes.
* Co‑own the procurement vision, strategy, strategic goals and follow up on their implementation.
Qualifications
* University degree in Engineering (preferred Management), Business Administration, Economics.
* Postgraduate qualification (nice to have) – Master’s degree in Procurement.
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar position within a multinational environment, ideally in Diagnostics or Medical Devices industry.
* Excellent knowledge of source‑to‑pay fundamentals and proven capability in leveraging AI‑driven tools to optimise procurement processes, enhance spend analysis, and automate workflows.
* Ability to understand business context, prioritise and make decisions.
* Excellent negotiation capability, problem solving, business acumen, result orientation and organisational skills.
* Strong attitude towards innovative technologies, with a focus on AI for predictive data analysis, contract management optimisation and informed decision‑making within the S2P cycle.
* Passion for change, simplification and process improvement, with the ability to see through complexity and remove waste.
* Strong interpersonal, collaborative and influencing skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
* Entrepreneurial spirit and curiosity that inspires others, generating ideas and seeing them through to action.
* Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
