The role will involveleading experimental activitiesfocused on the development of new products, in collaboration with other RD Teams.
These activities aim to identify and implement optimal solutions for thedevelopment of innovative laser sources and systems, including their characterization and qualification.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyze,experimentandconducttechnical feasibility studies on laser and optical systems.
Verifyandvalidatecomponents, subsystems, and/or laser systems.
Develop solutionsunder the supervision of senior team members.
Draft technical documentationrelated to components, subsystems, and/or laser systems.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORTo successfully carry out the required activities, we are seeking candidates with:
Master’s degree in physics or engineering physics
Stronginclination for experimental activities
Someexperience(e.g., academic or internship)in experimental researchinvolving optics or laser sources
Good knowledge of the English language
Solid theoretical background on theoperating principles of major solid-state and fiber lasers, as well as optics, including anisotropic and non-linear media
Previous experience with optoelectronic sensors and measurement instruments, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, photodiodes, cameras, thermal cameras, data loggers, temperature probes, current probes etc.
Preferred knowledge and experience withsoftware for mathematical simulations of optical systems(Zemax, LasCad, Comsol, MATLAB)
Preferred knowledge and experience withsoftware for automated testing(LABVIEW - National Instruments)
Knowledge of optical fibers is a plus
Good organizational skills
