WHATEVER YOU DO, DO IT BRAVO - YOUR JOB

In light of an upcoming retirement, we are seeking for a Head of Sales with the clear goal of advancing to the role of Managing Director by 2028.

The strategic goals for our Italian business for the next years are defining growth drivers and shaping the pricing, portfolio, and distribution strategy, while continuously developing the organizational setup. The overall objective is to strengthen a sustainable, long-term market position in Italy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales who is passionate about business, strategy and operational excellence. As Head of Sales Italy, you will play a key role from the very beginning of your RAUCH journey, in defining and implementing our sales strategy for the coming years. You will push our Horeca growth in addition to our retail business. You will drive the development of our brands and portfolio and optimize our sales model. By working closely with the current Managing Director, you will gradually grow into your future role by 2028:

  • Development and execution of the local sales strategy in alignment with the global RAUCH strategy.
  • Full P&L responsibility for the legal entity.
  • Budget planning with a focus on sustainable profitability.
  • Performance and cost management.
  • Definition of pricing strategy in close coordination with HQ.
  • Identification and development of new business opportunities.
  • Lead national contract negotiations.
  • Manage external agencies and distribution partners.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis.
  • Lead and continuously develop the local organization.
  • Ensure full compliance and legal responsibility.
  • Align closely with HQ functions (Finance, Operations, Marketing).
  • Ensure efficient and scalable processes.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER - YOUR PROFILE

  • In-depth understanding of the Italian FMCG market.
  • Expertise in FMCG sales (at least 10 years) and leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of the food and beverage industry, particularly in Horeca, is a major plus.
  • Understanding of Italian retail and trade structures is a plus.
  • Strong presence and credibility at top customer management level.
  • Proven ability to lead and close national annual negotiations.
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to market changes and lead changes.
  • Strong ability to drive performance and enforce accountability.
  • Strategic and analytical capabilities combined with solid financial steering expertise.
  • Prioritization and clear decision-making skills.
  • Long-term value-oriented mindset and high level of maturity and integrity.
  • Fluency in Italian and English; knowledge of German is a plus.
