About the Role
Nature Physics is seeking an Associate or Senior Editor to join its editorial team. The journal publishes high‐quality papers in all areas of physics and related fields, and features commentary and analysis from and for the wider physics community.
Responsibilities
Report to the Chief Editor and handle original research papers, manuscript selection, and oversee peer review.
Commission and edit Review, Comment, and News & Views articles.
Write editorial content for the journal.
Conduct outreach to the research community via conferences and laboratory visits.
Coordinate with other editors on all aspects of the editorial process.
Requirements
PhD in a physics‐related discipline.
Expertise in soft condensed‐matter physics, chemical physics, statistical physics, or fluid dynamics; outstanding candidates in other physics areas are welcome.
General interest in research beyond one's own field.
Postdoctoral experience is an advantage.
Significant editorial experience encouraged; not required.
Strong literary skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Confidence and enthusiasm in communicating with scientists; willingness to travel.
