Software Implementation Specialist Intern
at EU Level, based in Vimodrone (MI).
The Software Implementation Specialist Intern is responsible for supporting functions of software implementation of Eurofins laboratory solutions. Currently the primary focus is
Electronic Laboratory Notebook
(ELN) software.
Specifically, the specialist intern will work with a team of software implementation specialists to deploy software solutions. As directed by the software implementation manager, the intern will complete the implementation activities necessary for the implementation of in-house developed software, including but not limited to documentation, ELN template/recipe/worksheet configuration, and possibly training.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop strong understanding of software functionality through utilization of available documentation (e.g. User Requirements, Product Backlog Items, Release Notes, Module Functional Definition, SOPs, and Training Materials) and collaboration with software Implementation Manager and software implementation specialists.
Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory testing operations. Familiarity with common operational processes, use cases, analytical terminology.
Execute implementation tasks as assigned by the implementation manager and/or as determined by local program plans, including but not limited to:
Change Management documentation
Local procedure updates
ELN template/recipe configuration
Electronic worksheet template configuration
Execute training sessions as needed, Subject Matter Expert Workshops, and user Question & Answer sessions utilizing pre-developed Global Training Materials. Adapt training materials or training approach to effectively address specific use cases.
As software is adopted, provide surveillance to ensure intended use of the software.
Provide support and consultation to local Subject Matter Experts in the case of end user questions.
Demonstrate commitment to quality and the governance of the global ELN program and IT Corporate Standards.
Comply with and promote global training materials and SOPs.
Comply with IT Corporate Standards.
Good listener, and engaging team member; effective speaking and written skills.
Maintain relationships with lab leadership, QA, and users, balancing realism and empathy with constructive challenge.
Travel for on-site visits as needed and available.
Degree in Science, Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent degree;
In progress or completed education in Laboratory science;
Strong personal organization and self-motivation;
Attention to detail and interest in problem solving;
Eager to learn and continuously develop personal and technical capabilities;
Residence near Vimodrone (MI);
Excellent command of English.
6-month internship;
