As a Shift Manager, you will be the operational point of reference for your shift, ensuring that the production department runs safely, efficiently, and smoothly. Through strong on‑the‑floor leadership and hands‑on coordination, you will guarantee production continuity, team support and consistent quality standards across all processes. The role is based in Porcari (Lucca) and requires availability to work on a 3‑shift weekly rotation.
What You Will Do
Operational Leadership
- Act as the go‑to person for all shift activities, ensuring safety, efficiency and continuity across production lines.
- Lead daily operations, monitor workflows and ensure full alignment with the production plan.
Safety & Quality
- Apply and enforce Safety and Quality procedures, standards and best practices.
- Record and escalate incidents, non‑conformities and operational anomalies.
Production Oversight
- Supervise machine performance and promptly address any issues or deviations.
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance to analyse unplanned stops and identify root causes.
Team Management
- Coordinate shift personnel, assign tasks, provide guidance and foster a supportive and motivated work environment.
- Support onboarding and upskilling of new operators through skill‑matrix assessments.
Shift Handover
- Ensure clear, accurate and structured communication during handovers, including shift‑report updates and key operational insights.
Who You Are
- University background in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience in structured industrial environments, familiar with production flows and manufacturing dynamics.
- Strong understanding of Safety & Quality procedures and ability to promote a compliance‑driven culture.
- A hands‑on, reliable leader able to motivate and support the team across rotating shifts.
- Solution‑oriented, decisive and comfortable managing operational challenges in real time.
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach to cross‑functional interactions.
