Your main responsibility will be, with your project team, to develop and release tires for the Replacement market. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liIn close collaboration with your project team, support the feasibility study and develop design strategy to meet tire performances. /li liWith the support of Catia based design tool, design optimize the mold Tread and Cavity design (tire geometry) to meet the targeted tire characteristics and performances while respecting design guidelines. /li liAssisted by advanced predictive tools, model predict the impact of your design choices on the tire characteristics, supporting your design optimization. /li liFollow the mold hardware order process up interact with Global Mold Engineering as well as Mold plant to enable proper manufacturing of your mold design. /li liHandle all Tread and Cavity related questions concerning your tire mold definition and you act as the “Go To” person regarding those questions (plant, customer, etc) /li liWith your project team, drive the analysis of the tire test results along with the close the loop analysis with your predicted results. /li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liThe candidate must have successfully completed master’s degree in mechanical, physics or electro-mechanical engineering. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liExperience in product/technology development. /li liExperience in project and/or people management. /li liExperience in process development activities is a plus. /li liExperience in people management is a plus. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liFluency in English (spoken and written) is a must. /li liFluency in German and/or French is an asset. /li /ul h3IT, Soft Skills Others /h3 ul liInterest in tire business or automotive industry. /li liDemonstrated experience with Catia V5 CAD/CAM tools. /li liDemonstrated experience with Finite Element Modeling. /li liStrong understanding of the solid mechanics. /li liStatistical tools is an asset. /li liAbility to work in a multi-cultural team, as well as independently. /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. /li liStress resistant and flexible. /li liShowing initiative – Being proactive. /li liWilling to travel occasionally. /li /ul pGoodyear is an equal employment opportunity employer.
