Hauptaufgaben
Incumbent receives, stores, and assembles for issue or shipment a variety of bin and/or bulk supplies and materials. Receives and places into storage various types of supplies and materials. Manually unloads conveyances, e.g. trucks. Checks items against accompanying documents to ensure consistency and reports disparities to others. Visually checks items for damages and, when detected, assigns prescribed damage codes to appropriate documents. Selects and moves items into storage locations in consideration of such factors as availability of space, consistency between and among stock class, stock number, and nomenclature, and ease of access. Arranges, palletizes, or stacks items, taking into account distinctions in size, shape, weight, susceptibility to damage, height, and other factors in order to ensure safe and non-congested storage. Selects and assembles items for shipment. Receives and reviews lists of items to be assembled and, based on knowledge of the nomenclature of numerous items of supply, removes items from storage locations. Arranges items in consideration of their weight, delivery sequences, or similar factors. Prepares receipts to transfer accountability of items, adjusts inventory tags at locations to reflect numbers in stock resulting from issues, and loads conveyances. Notes and reports to supervisor those stocks of particular items nearing depletion. Might accompany others in making deliveries; unloads, moves, and assembles items in conjunction with the issue function. Might operate motor vehicles as an incidental part of this task and other tasks, during emergencies, or in substitution for absent employees. Periodically conducts physical inventories of items in storage. Counts and records items by prescribed categories and reports findings to supervisor. Maintains warehouse locations, storage system and equipment, including outside areas, neat and clean at all times. Operates electric-powered trucks to move, stack and unstuck, load and unload materials in and about warehouses, and on and off vehicles. Regulates forks and truck movement exercising care to avoid overloading, improper stacking, or movement of supplies and materials. Materials stacked are palletized and operation of forklifts is made on concrete, even surfaces and warehouses with unrestricted environment for free and safe fork movements. Follows general safety practices in operating and performs operator's maintenance on equipment. Operates motor vehicles to transport equipment, articles, supplies, and personnel throughout the post and over public roads. Determines shortest and safest routes to and from destinations. Manually loads and unloads materials as required. Completes trip tickets. Fills out accident reports when necessary. Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
NOTE: Tour of duty is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 08.00 to 17.00, including a 1-hour uncompensated lunch break.

5. KNOWLEDGE OF MATERIALS;
6. DEXTERITY AND SAFETY.
HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED: In order to qualify for this position, your application must provide sufficient experience to meet the requirements of the position. You will be rated based on the experience described In your application and the driver's license that is submitted.
