PpMilan, Italy /p h3DISCOVER your opportunity /h3 pYou will take the lead on all the key aspects of AXA XL Italy underwriting operations in Energy and Construction business within the Country in accordance with the regional and divisional guidelines. This includes but is not limited to portfolio profitability, account pricing, portfolio rate change, renewal retention, marketing, new business production, development of staff and broker and client management. /p ul liManage directly underwriting activity for an assigned portfolio. /li liDevelop the portfolio while maximizing profitability by making decisions and recommendations to assist in the development and control of profitable underwriting and monitoring of performance of products and/or schemes and portfolios in accordance with AXA strategy and business plan. /li liLead and develop a team of Underwriters. Support the team by providing technical training and coaching on a day‑to‑day basis and, as required, more formalised basis. /li liExecute departmental strategy and achieve PL metrics. /li liSupport the business planning and forecasting process; monitor financial exposure and premium income to ensure it remains within set limits. /li liMaintain awareness of all claims advised while supporting and providing input on settlement of claims. /li liSeek, identify and develop opportunities for profitable business with new and existing customers. /li liDevelop relationships with stakeholders to ensure that business needs are achieved and enhance visibility on the market with brokers, clients, risk managers and account managers. /li liCollaborate closely with the Distribution Team by providing an effective and efficient service. /li /ul h3SHARE your talent /h3 ul liProven experience in underwriting Energy and/or Construction business within commercial insurance. Experience in Property Underwriting activities will be a plus. /li liAbility to tailor risk solutions and analyse complex risks. /li liStrategic view and proactive market engagement with an overview of local and international trends and dynamics. /li liCommunicate and work in Spanish and English. /li liLeadership and people management skills. Act as a role model encouraging the team’s commitment and engagement, take initiative to lead independently, and inspire success and thrive talent and AXA culture. /li liExcellent commercial, communication and influencing skills.
