Minimum 5 years of hands-on professional experience in the Earth Observation domain.Deep knowledge of EO source data, data processing techniques, and operational EO applications.Familiarity with EO data catalogues and OGC standardsProven technical competence in Cloud and Big Data, including parallel and distributed processing.Hands-on experience with major Cloud provider.Experience with container technologies and container orchestration (Kubernetes).Solid understanding of modern software development practices: TDD, CI/CD, code review processesFluent spoken and written English (required for international project collaboration).
Desirable Qualifications
Degree and/or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Geomatics, or a related discipline.Experience with ESA, Copernicus, or other space agency programme frameworks.Knowledge of geospatial processing libraries (e.g., GDAL, SNAP, rasterio, xarray).Experience with distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Dask) in an EO context.Familiarity with STAC (SpatioTemporal Asset Catalog) and cloud-optimised geospatial formats (e.g., Cloud-Optimised GeoTIFF, Zarr). xrdztoy Previous experience in a client-facing technical role or pre-sales support.
