urochiller Srl, part of the Atlas Copco Group, is aLeading European designer and manufacturer of customized chillers and thermoregulation units, with a specific focus on plastic applications with a Full-in house design, assembly and testing activities. The company has two fully-certified production sites located in North of Italy and Slovakia.
Eurochiller is now looking for a newTechnology Engineerbased in the Italian Site in Castello D’Agogna – PV.
Job Description
* Introducing innovative and future concepts/technologies that contribute to improved productivity for our customers, in collaboration with other engineering experts.
* Take the lead on specific technology projects, monitoring project budget/timeline
* Making project proposals & reporting project progress to Management, on local & global meetings
* You do extensive research,calculations and modelling on cooling products, components or subsystems of them (Heat transfer, energy balance, efficiency and fluid mechanics)
* Lab tests: create test instructions, follow up prototype tests & analyze the results.
* Think up innovative concepts to improve the product design and lower the carbon impact.
* You develop expertise in new technology domains.
* You act as expert/consultant in your field of expertise internally and externally.
* You give trainings to share/develop competences.
* You’ll translate the functional product specification into design parameters.
* You define the specifications for new developments and support development programs within the department.
* During project execution you will continue to support and/or steer where necessary and process technical and financial feedback.
* You identify knowledge gaps and devise/follow-up a test plan to answer key decisions.
* You ensure the smooth implementation of new concepts as part of new product development project teams.
* You acquire the relevant knowledge from internal and external stakeholders e.g., supplier, customer, process, and engineering departments.
* You follow up the technology evolution for specific components
* You have knowledge and/or are willing to learn and follow up on International/European standards and regulations (e.g. machine directive, Atex, PED, …).
Experience and Knowledge requirements
* You have a Master of Engineering Science or Master of Science or are equivalent by experience. Having acquired a Ph.D. in this domain is an advantage.
* You have a technical background, preferably in engineering, supported by strong analytical skills to solve complex technical problems.
* You have a high interest in technology (mechanical, electrical, controls, thermodynamics, chemical, …)
* Basic Matlab knowledge is a plus.
* Able to interpret FEA/CFD results.
* Broad knowledge of thermodynamics engineering, experience in cooling field is a plus
* Experience as project member or leader in product development projects is a plus.
* You can work in an international, intercultural environment.
* Good communication skills and English proficiency are required.
