Position Summary
Based in our Perugina factory and part of the Quality team, you will provide technical expertise as a quality specialist to resolve internal and external quality defects by leading the food safety management program and facilitating quality improvement initiatives.
A Day in the Life of a Factory Quality Assurance Specialist
* Ensure the food safety management system documentation is updated and effective. Assess that the Nestlé Food Safety Management System is in place and achieving expected results.
* Promote quality awareness across the company by delivering training in areas such as hygiene, foreign body prevention, HACCP, pest control, and cleaning validation. Act as Hygiene Champion to promote GMP standards throughout the factory.
* Implement specific quality procedures, instructions, and tools related to your area of concern, and follow Nestlé quality instructions, e.g., pathogen monitoring.
* Ensure consumer complaints, especially foreign body complaints, are properly evaluated and addressed to prevent recurrence.
* Provide risk assessment analysis. Manage issues with non-conforming products to ensure proper control, minimize losses, and meet consumer expectations. Conduct root cause analyses for quality and food safety stock holds, disposals, and consumer complaints. Implement robust, sustainable corrective actions to reduce or eliminate reoccurrence.
* Coordinate management changes to ensure no food safety risks are introduced to the site.
What Will Make You Successful?
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree
* At least 3 years of experience as a quality specialist in a food manufacturing environment
* Fluent in Italian and English
* Experience in analyzing and interpreting complex data to drive improvements
* Prior experience with Food Safety Management Systems
* Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
* Proficiency in SAP is preferred
