The Industrial division of TXT E-Tech, a TXT group company, is looking for PLC/SCADA programmers to join the team working on automation projects.
The candidates will participate in the various stages of the project, from drafting hardware specifications and software implementation to supervising the installation and start-up of the relevant systems.
The team will work on both national and international projects, so a good knowledge of English is required.
During both the design and installation phases of the software, the selected candidates may be required to travel, typically for short to medium periods, both in Italy and abroad; therefore, full availability for travel is required.
Main responsibilities:
Sizing of components and preparation of technical documentation (diagrams, drawings, reports) necessary for implementation;
Functional definition of the assigned project in accordance with company guidelines and standards, with particular focus on system functionality, software design and development, and everything related to the installation, start-up and testing of new systems, both in-house and at customers' premises worldwide;
Definition and conduct of internal testing of all project functionalities (scheduling and execution details) and creation of appropriate and structured test reports;
Based on seniority, definition and conduct of software start-up at the end customer's premises in accordance with the project timing, and in particular the testing and validation of all functionalities, any implementation of functional changes that must be shared with the product contact person to contribute to continuous improvement and follow up to the FAT/SAT of the system, creating the conditions to achieve a positive result;
Directly producing technical documentation for internal or external use, as well as creating the relevant operator manuals to be delivered to customers;
Cost analysis of the designed solutions.
Technical skills required:
At least 3 years' experience in PLC and SCADA development/programming using the main automation software (Twincat Beckhoff, Step7 Siemens, Wonderware, Movicon or similar), communication buses and field components;
Experience in plant design and industrial/building automation;
Experience in the design of power panels and electrical diagrams for machines/plants, making any necessary modifications to adapt them to specific configurations;
Experience in the design of automation, supervision and control panels;
Experience in designing wiring diagrams for the entire system and compiling I/O maps using CAD design programmes with electrical applications.
For the more senior resource, experience in coordinating the work team in industrial automation projects is required.
Education: Diploma/Degree in electrical engineering, electronics, computer science with a focus on automation.
The following are a PLUS:
Good knowledge of programming in Codesys and Twincat (IEC 61131) languages according to ANSI/ISA and PackML standards;
Knowledge of networking;
Experience in programming in .NET and C# languages.
The profile is completed by excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of the English language.
