Consistently manage the assigned jobs by coordinating all the Commissioning Activities from plant start-up until acceptance of biological commissioning and performance testing. Aim to meet and possibly improve timing and costs.
Responsibilities
Key Results :
* Ensure planning, coordination, and cooperation between the commissioning team and field operators;
* Apply the highest safety standards during start-up and operation, ensuring full compliance with safety rules;
* Maintain or improve the project budget within their area of expertise;
* Meet or improve the project schedule;
* Achieve customer satisfaction;
* Provide reliable reports within deadlines;
* Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation plans for commissioning and start-up phases;
* Identify opportunities to increase revenue;
* Ensure effective hand-over to the customer or operations team, delivering a safe, reliable product and training operators accordingly.
Job Responsibilities :
* Manage activities from plant start-up (dry commissioning) to acceptance testing;
* Review and understand contractual obligations, ensuring compliance;
* Estimate, develop, and agree on schedules and budgets with project managers;
* Monitor functionality of plant components during commissioning;
* Coordinate resources through schedules and meetings;
* Identify risks early and implement countermeasures;
* Maintain relationships with customer project leaders and operators;
* Ensure timely delivery of O&M manuals and operator training;
* Manage component testing and protocols;
* Support estimation of commissioning services;
* Provide feedback for continuous improvement;
* Create and update reports as per plan.
The CEs are authorized to :
* Sign correspondence within agreed limits;
* Instruct operators on-site within limits;
* Manage T&L expenses within the project budget.
Safety and Quality Responsibilities :
The CEs must rigorously apply company rules regarding project development, data accuracy, and deadlines. They are responsible for safety during start-up, ensuring all involved are trained, and stopping activities if severe risks are identified.
Job Qualifications
Educational and Experience Requirements :
* Hold a diploma or degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering;
* At least 3 years of experience as a Site Manager in industrial or biogas power plant construction.
Required Skills :
* Read and interpret technical drawings and documents;
* Knowledge across disciplines involved in commissioning;
* Experience in safety and technical training;
* Ability to manage customer relationships;
* Leadership in resource management;
* Schedule management skills;
* Proficiency with control systems (SCADA, DCS);
* Experience with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45000);
* Solid sector experience in waste treatment, anaerobic digestion, water treatment;
* Fluent in Italian and competent in English.
Desirable :
* Biogas-specific expertise.
Soft Skills :
Strong leadership, teamwork, responsibility, flexibility, problem-solving skills, and possibly knowledge of additional languages.
