The role ensures accuracy, compliance and timely handling of customer payments and related processes, contributing to a positive customer experience and effective coordination between Customer Service, Sales and Finance functions.RequirementsMain Job Responsibilities:
Verify payment status to enable the timely release of shipping documents (e.g. Bill of Lading, Delivery Orders)Act as a first point of reference for customers regarding payment confirmation and billing clarificationEnsure consistency between customer instructions, system data and billing documentsSupport correct handling of demurrage, detention and other shipment-related chargesRegister and update payment-related information accurately within company systemsMaintain accurate records to support internal checks, audits and reporting activitiesWork closely with Customer Service colleagues, Sales and Finance to resolve operational issuesContribute to continuous improvement of customer service and operational processes
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Logistics or related fieldsExperience in shipping, logistics or customer service environments is an advantageGood command of both written and spoken English and local languagesGood knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook)Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) is a plusAbility to work with operational data and documentationGood communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy, customer-oriented mindsetAbility to work in a structured and fast-paced, team-oriented environment
