In the context of project management team and reporting to the Technical Project Manager or to the Project Manager, the Project Engineering Manager coordinates the development of design and requisitioning of the portion of work assigned project areas and/or facility unit in accordance with Company's QHSES corporate policies, contractual commitments (design data, codes, classes, construction needs, schedule and budget.
The Project Engineering Manager:
1. Contributes in obtaining client/authority approval on technical documents
2. Defines engineering coordination procedures, issues the basic data for design, and approves general project specifications
3. Ensures timely approval of engineering and requisitioning documents from the client, as well as timely technical and economical definition of change orders and/or claims
4. Contributes to schedule preparation, actively controls schedule execution and proposes corrective actions when needed
5. Ensures coordination of interfaces among engineering disciplines and with procurement, construction, vendors, licensors, and partners
6. Represents the company towards clients, partners, subcontractors, vendors and third parties for technical subjects and may contribute to business development initiatives by reporting information or suggestion to Project manager.
7. Validate optimized technical/economical solutions proposed by engineering and process/HSED disciplines and arbitrate as necessary contributing to respect of material and man/hours budget.
