PositionThe Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of components, systems, or products, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and cost requirements. The role operates throughout the entire product development cycle, from the concept phase to production, contributing to innovation, industrialization, and the continuous improvement of engineering solutions.
Responsabilities and Activities:
- Develop 2D/3D technical models and drawings of components and systems.
- Define technical specifications and project requirements.
- Perform basic engineering analyses (sizing, tolerances, material selection).
- Ensure manufacturing feasibility in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering.
- Support simulation and technical verification activities (FEA, CFD where applicable).
- Manage design changes (ECR/ECO) and product configuration.
- Ensure compliance with technical, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Participate in internal and external design reviews.
- Support prototyping, testing, and product validation activities.
- Contribute to product cost optimization and performance improvement.
RequirementsTechnical:
- Mechanical, Mechatronic or Vehicle Engineering Degree
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD design software (e.g. CREO, CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Basic knowledge of structural and/or thermal analysis (FEA is optional but preferred).
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
