Role Purpose
To provide the team with a comprehensive Human Resources service to meet the needs of the business, present and future. To assist in facilitating change, organisational development, and the implementation of policies and procedures in line with legislation and employment regulations. To manage the local HR and Payroll team and all HR activities required to address station business challenges.
Main Accountabilities
* Assist in leading and facilitating the People Plan for the station, ensuring alignment with the Operational Business Plan and overall company people agenda.
* Actively manage corporate and local HR initiatives and projects.
* Recommend and develop policies and procedures on all aspects of HR management, reflecting legislation and best practices.
* Contribute to negotiations with Unions alongside operational managers.
* Conduct employee transfers in accordance with current legislation.
* Apply good management practices to appraise, coach, and encourage the operational management team, providing opportunities for growth.
* Contribute to business planning and policy development, focusing on people management.
* Lead and manage a small local HR and Payroll team.
* Promote a performance culture across the station, addressing employee performance issues and enhancing performance through policies or learning interventions.
* Lead HR aspects of audits to ensure compliance.
* Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
Qualifications, Competencies & Experience
* Experience in a similar HR role and HR qualification.
* A professional and commercial approach to HR, aiming for high employee satisfaction and development.
* A proactive and thorough approach, handling matters efficiently and methodically.
* Results-oriented with the ability to work under pressure, plan ahead, and manage conflicting priorities.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, at all organizational levels.
* Ability to act on ideas based on logical assumptions and factual information, considering organizational risks.
* Persuasive communication skills and the ability to build credibility within the organization.
* Proactive influence to achieve goals, with a self-starting attitude.
* Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Experience in managing and motivating teams or individuals.
* Collaborative team player with effective communication skills.
* Previous HR experience in aviation, logistics, or similar B2B service environments.
