Overview Rachel Birthistle Events srl, also known as The Lake Como Wedding Planner, is a creative company organising, designing and producing events throughout Italy and Europe. We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented and creative Event Planner to join our team at our office in Como where you will have the opportunity of managing every aspect of wedding planning – from the initial concept to the final execution – ensuring every event runs smoothly and reflects the unique vision of each couple.
Responsibilities
Meet with clients to understand their vision, style preferences, and budget
Plan, organize and manage all aspects of the wedding, including timelines and budgets
Research, select and coordinate with trusted vendors (venues, caterers, florists, photographers, entertainers, etc.)
Work closely with our Design Team to develop designs and concepts tailored to each couple
Supervise and coordinate the wedding day to ensure everything runs seamlessly
Proactively handle any last‑minute changes or unexpected issues
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and vendors throughout the planning process
Experience and skills requested
At least 3 years work experience in wedding or event planning
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with great attention to detail
Strong team player
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with good problem‑solving skills
Working knowledge of MS Office (Microsoft Excel)
Preferable working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Adobe InDesign
Knowledge of local wedding trends, venues and vendors in the Como area
Fluent in both Italian and English (written and spoken)
Ability to work on site at events for design production, set up and dismantles
Ability to work evenings and weekends during events
Benefits We’re offering an initial fixed term contract with the intention of it becoming a permanent contract. Our offices are located in Como, Cernobbio and Maslianico.
Work Contract Tempo pieno, Fixed‑term contract, No remote working
Availability Mon‑Fri (with availability to work during weekends on events)
