S&OP Process Owner & Inventory Controller
The ideal candidate is an experienced professional in S&OP cycle management, capable of acting as a "bridge" between different company functions. The resource will be responsible for aligning commercial demand with production and purchasing capacities, ensuring a balance between customer service levels and the optimization of production workloads and warehouse inventory.
By collaborating with and coordinating the relevant business units, the candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing stock levels, ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with working capital targets.
Key Responsibilities
* S&OP Cycle Management: Coordinate the entire monthly process, from collecting sales forecasts to validating the production and procurement plan.
* Cross-functional Coordination: Facilitate communication between Sales, Operations (Production/Logistics), and Purchasing, mediating between various stakeholders to resolve trade-offs between stock availability and production capacity.
* Data Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze historical data and market trends using statistical models to improve demand forecast accuracy.
* MRP Planning: Supervise Material Requirements Planning (MRP) logic to ensure that the demand plan is correctly translated into production and purchase orders.
* S&OP Tool Management: Administer and configure the software used for data collection and processing, ensuring database integrity and accurate reporting (process KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Turns, and Service Level).
* Inventory Control: Assist other company functions in proper inventory management to meet target rotation metrics and minimize obsolescence, while maintaining an adequate customer service level.
Technical Requirements (Must-have)
* Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, or S&OP roles within complex manufacturing environments. Previous experience as an Inventory Controller is highly desirable.
* MRP/ERP Skills: Deep knowledge of industrial planning logic and inventory management.
* Data Analysis: Strong statistical foundation and advanced data extraction/processing skills using Excel or Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
Preferred Requirements (Nice-to-have / Plus)
* Specific Software: Knowledge of the Complete (DGS) tool will be considered a strong competitive advantage.

* Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interface with both commercial roles (market-oriented) and technical roles (factory-oriented) using appropriate language for both.
* Problem Solving: Analytical mindset to identify bottlenecks and propose scalable solutions.
* Influencing Leadership: Ability to lead decision-making meetings without necessarily having direct hierarchical authority over the functions involved.
* Proactivity: Structured and methodical approach, a proactive attitude, and autonomy in creating and managing processes.
Employment Details
* Employment Type: Permanent Contract (Contratto a Tempo Indeterminato), National Collective Labor Agreement for the Engineering Industry (CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria).
* Indicative Gross Annual Salary Range (RAL): € 32,000 – €45,000.
* Note on Variability: The final specific RAL and job grading will be commensurate with the candidate's actual seniority, technical skills verified during the interview phase, and demonstrated autonomy in the role.
