Your role and responsibilities
As a Supplier Development Engineer your work will consist of:
1. Managing new product introduction and leading proactive quality assurance activities for castings manufacturing and machining
2. Analysing supplier performance and capabilities, identifying development opportunities and driving impactful development actions
3. Developing and executing supplier development action plans to improve supplier performance
4. Supporting suppliers with their operational development initiatives in relation to quality, delivery and cost
5. Executing supplier audits and audit follow-up according to supplier development action plan and verifying impact
You’ll be working as a part of impactful Supplier Development team and Category team with diverse expertise.
Requirements for the position:
6. Strong experience of iron and aluminium casting and machining technologies and manufacturing processes
7. Quality management process understanding
8. Excellent communication skills
9. Strong personal drive for identifying development potential and proven skills on leading improvement projects or initiatives successfully within crossfunctional teams
10. Performance-focused mindset and capability to make an impact on increasing performance level
11. A systematic way of working and excellent problem-solving skills
12. Capability to apply lean principles and statistical process control in daily work for driving improvement
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:
13. M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or Economics and Business Administration, or qualified equivalent
14. Fluency in English, both verbal and written
15. Willingness to travel
16. Experience of Production Part Approval Process / Experience in quality management for example in manufacturing processes
17. Previous auditing experience or lead auditor qualification (e.g ISO 9001)
18. Strong experience with Six sigma (Six Sigma green belt or equivalent)
