This position is in Cargill’s animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.
Job Purpose and Impact
Junior Dairy Management Consultant Purina will help sell the company's portfolio of technical and non-technical products, services, and solutions to dairy customers through distributor channels in Cremona and Brescia areas. You will assist in assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and solutions with guidance.
Key Accountabilities
* Contribute to developing and delivering sales bids, presentations, and proposals, and participate in product demonstrations.
* Identify and contact prospective customers, building relationships for future sales and repeat business.
* With basic knowledge of products and market, help assess customer needs and recommend suitable solutions.
* Plan daily activities, including customer visits and setting objectives to achieve.
* Monitor market and competition trends, passing information to senior staff.
* Handle basic issues under supervision, escalating complex problems appropriately.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in animal science, veterinary medicine, agriculture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Availability for extensive travel in the designated area.
* Minimum 1 year of related experience in the feed industry.
* Good command of English.
Preferred Qualifications
* 1-3 years of related experience in technical consulting within the feed industry, preferably in the ruminant sector.
* Ability to hold self and others accountable to meet commitments.
* Strong relationship-building and customer-centric solutions skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to relate comfortably with diverse groups.
