Job Description
This role is key in providing quality support for operational teams, ensuring standard requirements are exceeded within the Factory. Leadership, management and development of the Quality Department to achieve business plan objectives. Responsible for on time manufacturing of high-quality products through leadership of employees, planning and execution of work, measurement and development of employee performance and support of management strategies and policies.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, in this role you will be the functional leader of the quality team working closely with engineering and operation teams. Maintain positive employee relations, facilitate employee training and ensure a safe working environment. Responsible for supporting implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques, in line with the Rotork Lean Programme.
In this role, you will be responsible for promoting the company's absolute focus on safety as the number one priority, as well as product and process quality. It is important to maintain and improve the quality management system with a focus on reducing DPPM and NCR rates to improve first pass yield in the factory and consequently reduce customer NCR.
This role is ideal for someone who can make strong decisions under pressure and inspire teams through motivational engagement. You should be able to manage work and time to maximize productivity, solve problems effectively, act decisively with confidence and sound judgment, manage resources to control costs and achieve objectives, and maintain effectiveness in varying tasks, environments, and responsibilities.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
* Detailed understanding of ISO9001 requirements and principles
* Quality Leadership experience for a business manufacturing engineered product
* Demonstrated application of Lean/Continuous improvement tools in manufacturing
* Proven experience as a Quality Manager in an industrial setting
* Process management with particular attention to both Quality and HE&S
* Ability to conduct and coordinate internal and external audit
* Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies i.e. 8D, 5W, Fishbone, Pareto charts and statistical data
* Fluent English
