For our internal Finance team based in Verona, we are looking for a Financial Controller for a maternity leave replacement. The ideal candidate has already gained significant experience in the field and is ready to hit the ground running within a dynamic and international environment. The Role As a Financial Controller, you will be a key player within our Finance & Administration department. You will ensure the continuity and accuracy of financial operations during the leave period, transforming data into actionable insights for management and contributing to the company’s financial stability. Key Responsibilities
Financial Closing: Support and oversee monthly and annual financial closing processes. Management Reporting: Prepare comprehensive management reports and perform in-depth financial analysis to monitor business performance. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, including detailed variance analysis. Accounting Oversight: Perform general ledger reviews and ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations. Audit & Controls: Support external audit requirements and maintain robust internal financial controls. Advanced Data Management: Develop and optimize complex financial reports and models using advanced Excel techniques. Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Experience: Approximately 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within a structured corporate environment or a consulting/audit firm. Technical skills:
Advanced Excel skills are mandatory (complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling). Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Familiarity with ERP systems.
Languages: Very good command of English and Italian (both written and spoken), essential for collaborating within our international network. Soft Skills: Precision, analytical mindset, and the ability to manage deadlines independently.
