OverviewApplied Scientist II, Sponsored Products and Brands — Job ID: ******* | Amazon.com Services LLCThe Sponsored Products and Brands team at Amazon Ads is re-imagining the advertising landscape through generative AI technologies, transforming how customers discover products and engage with brands across Amazon.com and beyond.
We develop responsible and intelligent AI technologies to balance the needs of advertisers, enhance the shopping experience, and strengthen the marketplace.The Search Ranking and Interleaving (R&I;) team determines which ads to show and the quality of ads on the search page, applying GenAI and ML techniques to optimize ranking, allocation, and shopper experience.
We are an interdisciplinary team focused on improving the SP experience in search by understanding shopper pain points and delivering innovative solutions.ResponsibilitiesSolve challenging science and business problems that balance the interests of advertisers, shoppers, and Amazon.Drive end-to-end GenAI & Machine Learning projects with ambiguity, scale, and complexity.Develop real-time machine learning algorithms to allocate billions of ads per day in advertising auctions.Develop efficient algorithms for multi-objective optimization using deep learning to find operating points for the ad marketplace and evolve them.Research new and innovative machine learning approaches.Basic Qualifications3+ years of building models for business applications.PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications.Knowledge of architectural concepts and algorithms, tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.Experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code.Company InformationAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
