General Job Function: The Senior Component Delivery Manager is responsible for leading and managing his or her project lifecycle such that estimation, planning and execution are performed in a way that cost, schedule, scope, contractual liabilities, quality, safety and customer satisfaction goals are met or exceeded. The Component Delivery Manager is the single point of contact within the organization managing the project team, as well as the lead contact for communication between company and customers. Duties and Responsibilities (in the order of priority): Management of the Project Team, focusing Safety, Costs, On Time Delivery and Quality. Starting from the early estimation process, is responsible to lead a project team, including department leads that will perform duties to successfully complete the project. With the support of Department Leaders, the Component Delivery Manager develops a strategy to optimize a profitable execution: mobilization plan; he/ she sets targets and monitors the performance of the team to achieve the project goals, proposing changes to the project organization when necessary. During this process, the Component Delivery Manager provides guidance to the team members and supports their personal development in agreement with Department Managers. Management of Contract. The Senior Component Delivery Manager is responsible to assure compliance of the Project development with the contractual terms, conditions, constraints, specifications. The contract with Client is used to guide the decisions on the project execution in order to reduce liabilities, avoiding non-conformances, defaults, penalties, liquidated damages. Scope Management and Change Management must be put in place in order to gather opportunities and cover any potential impact arising from Client changes. Formal Contract Management is necessary to support claims and protect the Company from liabilities. Control and Management of project costs. It is the Senior Component Delivery Manager’s responsibility to perform reliable and predictable estimations before the order acquisition and share the project budget and continuously control the project costs to ensure completion within the expected margin. It is the Senior Component Delivery Manager’s responsibility to assure timely and accurate estimates for the forecast, closely monitoring contingencies based on assessed Risks & Opportunities. Additionally, scope changes from the customers must be managed by the Component Delivery Manager who ensures cost and schedule impacts are recognized for the achievement of the project financial goals. Control and Management of the project schedule. The Senior Component Delivery Manager is responsible for development and continuously control the project schedule to ensure forecasted milestones and delivery are achieved in accordance with contractual or business requirements. The Component Delivery Manager is responsible to gather all department inputs for the development of the project schedule; he/ she manages critical path and float, continuously updating the schedule, to ensure reliable forecast dates and resource loads.
