As our organisation continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Quality Manager / Senior Quality Engineer to join our team at our manufacturing site and headquarters in Lainate, Milan, Italy, reporting to the Operations Director in Italy and the Quality & Compliance Director EU (dotted line).
Main Responsibilities
* Govern and monitor the quality of internal manufacturing processes and outsourced operations, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements
* Perform quality control on mechanical, electrical and electronic components
* Manage product warranty procedures and related cost analysis
* Implement and manage internal and external non-conformity processes, ensuring definition, implementation and verification of corrective actions effectiveness
* Manage internal and Group reporting, monitoring quality KPIs, customer complaints, non-conformities and supplier performance
* Manage qualification, monitoring and re-evaluation of external processing suppliers, including periodic verification of their quality performance
* Participate in Group meetings focused on corrective actions and product improvement initiatives
* Monitor installations to ensure products meet service excellence standards, with a “right-first-time” objective
* Analyse product life-cycle performance
* Implement, maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, coordinating internal and external audits and relationships with certification bodies.
* Propose and implement cross-functional improvement actions across manufacturing, installation and after-sales processes.
* Drive quality assurance initiatives, including the implementation of quality control plans and Standard Operating Procedures, and strengthening a culture where quality awareness is embedded across the organization and regarded as a core priority
Requirements
* Technical diploma or higher education degree
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical technical drawings
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within multinational or structured industrial environments
* Knowledge of basic electrotechnical principles
* Strong goal-oriented mindset and ability to work independently
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
* Familiarity with major AI tools
* Fluent English (spoken and written)
