Our client is part of a leading international company in the automotive sector. For the Italian country we are looking for the Finance Director.
The future Finance Director is responsible to oversee the day‑to‑day activities of the country controlling & finance team and ensure that accurate financial and management accounts are produced. This means leading the area of industrial controlling, evaluating operating data, detect business trends and prepare financial statements that comply with organisation standards, regulatory requirements and IFRS/Italian GAAP knowledge.
Major Responsibilities
- Establish finance as a true 'business partner'; provide real value through the provision of quality, timely and accurate information, highlighting issues and trends;
- Cost Control and Management: Monitoring and analysing financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure external reporting is of the highest quality – group reporting, statutory accounts and other presentations as needed;
- Act as financial advisor to the Operations Manager, supporting strategic decisions (expansion, investments, ecc).
- Maintain strong coordination with the corporate finance team, ensuring consistency in policies, processes, and reporting.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring robust financial governance.
- Manage and develop the local finance team, fostering talent and capabilities.
- Drive improvements in financial systems and tools, contributing to global efficiency.

Requirements
- Degree in Economics or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a multinational environment
- Business/Professional level English proficiency (C1)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI
- Experience in direct management teams.
- Strong analytical, organisational, proactive, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strategic approach, oriented toward continuous improvement.
